Marcy Arlin is a member of Brooklyn Speculative Fiction Writers, Tabula Rasa writers, and the Writers’ Institute of André Aciman. She was guest speaker on “Writing Old” at the Baltimore Short Story Group.
In her other life, she was Artistic Director of the OBIE-winning Immigrants’ Theatre Project, directing/producing plays from around the world. She currently teaches theatre and improvisation at City University of NY. She is a core member of Theatre Without Borders and was a Fulbright scholar to Czechia and Romania, and a U.S. Cultural Ambassador to Slovakia. She is a mentor for the Octavia Project, and has led interviews and contributed to Kaleidocast’s Exquisite Corpse stories. Marcy coaches writers and students on public speaking and reading their own work. She trained in mime, improvisation, Tai Chi, and, aeons ago, performed with new vaudeville troupes throughout NYC.
